E-SPORTS BETTING

E-SPORTS BETTING

New betting opportunities with eSports: A current trend in the betting industry is eSports at 22Bet Uganda. More and more betting providers are including this category in their offer and accordingly offer various betting opportunities. However, the knowledge about it is so low among the majority of sports bettors that many do not dare to approach the topic yet. That’s why we at Wettbasis are glad to be able to cover this area now and offer our readers information about upcoming tournaments, matches and analyses in the future.

That’s why we wrote the following article, which gives a short, but still good enough insight into e-sports. After going into general things about e-sports in the introduction, we present five important e-sports titles in the second section. However, since we are of course also interested in betting, we show which betting providers offer eSports betting.

A SHORT INTRODUCTION

A SHORT INTRODUCTION

E-sports, often spelled as eSports or without the hyphen, is the name for electronic sports. As in the case of brain sports, participants in e-sports do not perform any physical activity, but perform in a different form. In the case of e-sports, the focus is on the ability to successfully play a computer game. What may sound like an easy task to many readers is actually very difficult, and there is hard work behind it. As in other high-performance sports, the performance density in eSports is usually very high. If you are out of shape on a match day and miss just a few percent of your potential, you can quickly lose a game.

Pro gamers need to be fit in several skills to win games at the competitive level. On the one hand, many motor skills are required, especially hand-eye coordination, and on the other hand, mental skills. Depending on the game, pro gamers also act as a team, so team skills become very important. The players train most of their skills with special programs and less with the game itself. But the individual games also usually have to be played or trained for several hours a day in order to keep up with the competitions.

You can’t let yourself go when it comes to physical fitness, either. That’s why many e-sports players also engage in physical sports as a form of compensation, some of them even very successfully and with high ambitions.

THE POTENTIAL

THE POTENTIAL

However, the number of pro gamers who can make a living from their e-sports is relatively small compared to older sports. German soccer alone employs more professional athletes who can make a living with their “hobby” than there are well-paid pro gamers anywhere in the world. But e-sports are growing, due in no small part to the inexorable rise in the quality of video games. The budgets of the games can more and more often keep up with those of Hollywood movies or sometimes even exceed them many times over, and the storytelling is also constantly getting better and more emotional, so it’s no wonder that there are more and more gamers – but also more and more parties who want to share in the success of the video game industry.
